Hypnosis To Lose Weight

Throughout history hypnosis has been used from everything from weight loss, to athletic performance. It is even a required course in many psychological masters programs. Yet there is this wariness about it caused by television, movies, and entertainment hypnosis shows. Many people immediately think of individuals on stage, quacking like ducks or performing humiliating acts in public.

Professional hypnosis is a very different experience. A professional hypnotist works with his client’s subconscious to help modify or eliminate negative programs that he or she has picked up over the years.

Many of us eat when we are upset. Our emotions trigger our behavior. Think back.. Did your mom or some other relative ever hand you a cookie or a piece of cake, when you were upset? Inadvertently you may have been conditioned to think of and reach for sweets when you were upset.

Ever hear the expression,”You have to clean your plate,” or “think of the starving children in ...”
In my home guilt was dished out with the Baklava and Pastitso. “Do you know how long your aunt spent on that meal?”they would say. If this sounds like your family, perhaps you were trained to eat instead of wasting food.

This is all only learned behavior, which can be unlearned. Since it was learned unconsciously though, it is far easier to work on those programs on that level, than to try to simply concentrate on your behavior.

Think about it. How many times have you decided to go on a diet, only to have it ruined by binge eating, when you were upset? Or how many times have you stuck with a diet only to go back to old behaviors and regain the weight you lost and then some?

Hypnosis can help you get to the root of the problem. Change your thinking and you can much more easily change your behavior. Install other programs like - get full quickly, crave healthy foods, and feel maximum motivation and your behavior will automatically change, as well.
